Synopsis:
Detective Jenny Jordan's life has been relatively quiet since the events of the previous year led to the Thirsty Turtle being burned to the ground. She opened Table Number Nine with her friends and business has been good. Still dating Agent Jerry Seals, life just couldn't be better. At least until a murder on the square reveals even darker dealings within the small town. Detective Jordan and the sheriff's department use all their resources in a bid to expose the county’s many secrets.
Review:
Small towns and secrets - in this case complicating many aspects of Jenny Jordan's life. Jenny is a detective rather than an amateur sleuth, but also co-owner of a local restaurant with her friends. As the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and FBI get involved, it's clear there's more than one secret to uncover and many of the townspeople affected, included Miss Massie.
This is the second in the series, but the first one I've read by this author. I liked the character development and the plot moved along at a steady pace. This can easily be read as a stand alone and will appeal to those who like cozy mysteries and small towns.
